The wind has been howling down the Pacific this past week, it finally let up on Saturday and the great Dorado fishing opened up again, boats were hitting double digit numbers fishing the beach from the light house on up past Migrino. The billfish bite has been good on the Sea of Cortez side, lots of small Blue Marlin have been reported, we fished on Friday and had a money fish in the spread , around 350-400lbs but couldn’t get him to go. There’s been some nicer tuna coming to the dock, I saw a few over 150lbs , being caught on the Gordo on squid strips, plus on the dolphin on the outside of the 1000 fathom. Smaller Yellowfin are still on the chew on the Imon and San Luis banks on the other side of San Jose. Roosterfish are dominating the shore bite along with the smaller Dorado in tight to the beach. Mid 70’s water on the outside on the Pacific, change is in the air, along with cooler water the Wahoo bite has picked up and reports up the line show volume coming our way, Tournaments coming in October, can’t wait!!~Capt.
