Fishing has been nothing short of phenomenal again this past week. The water holding fish has now extended up the Pacific side, outside the 1000 fathom for the bigger Yellowfin Tuna, and the Sea of Cortez side is still producing Marlin and Dorado!~ Literally any direction you want to go has a great chance of producing fish. Stimulator fished midweek up the Pacific side for 5 Striped Marlin plus as many small Dorado as you wanted to catch. The Stripers were puking up mini squid as they jumped, got to be a wad of squid as all the fish we caught were puking them up as they jumped!~ We got into the bulk of the fish along the coast past the Golden Gate (Pozo de Cota area). Some larger Yellowfin Tuna showed up this week, the areas 180 to 240 degrees off the arch 20 to 30 miles (on the dolphin) There were 2 fish I know of over 200lbs and alot of fish in the 60 to 100 lb class. The 6-12lb Dorado were as many as you want along the coast on the Pacific side with some larger models being caught offshore on the Sea of Cortez side. Moderate Wahoo bite above San Jose along the coast being most productive for the Panga guys who are getting out early and targeting them with wire leader yozuris and wahoo lures. There has been Blue Marlin in the counts , most of the fish in the 200 lb class. With the abundance of baitfish, (Tuna, Skipjack and small Dorado) There has to be a few slobs out there waiting to bite!~ The blue water comes right up to the beach now with temps in the 80’s all over, Cabo summer fishing at it’s finest!~Capt.
