Well the big Marlin tournaments are over, there is the Tuna tournament and the First Annual Charter Boat Classic left. We fished yesterday for a Striped Marlin and a few Dorado. Fishing up the beach on the Pacific has been producing the Dorado and an occasional Wahoo, We got into the Stripers a little farther off the Beach on out to the Jaime Bank. The fishing on the Cortez side has been happening, had a bite in front of Cabo del Sol mid week with Marlin, and Wahoo in the count. The Gordo has been kicking out the big Tuna, not in the volume of last year but there are a couple cows caught every week. Guys using the stripped squid, some have been on trolled “baroletes”, some on chunk, just pick your poison. There have been some football tuna on the dolphins, we found a school of the holeheads on wednesday but they didn’t bite, could see good volume under them of yellowfin but they didn’t want to go.Also a fair amount of smaller fish on the Iman bank, once again on the stripped squid. Bottom fishing kicking out some pargo and cabrilla, conditions have been beautiful!~ Great time to come fish Cabo!!~Capt. Jay
